The Emscherblick mound, or Tetraeder for short, is a walk-through viewing terrace in the form of a three-sided pyramid on the Beckstraße mound in the Batenbrock district of Bottrop. The steel construction with a side length of 60 m rests on four 9 m high concrete pillars and is located on the crest of the approx. 120 m above sea level high mound on the Beckstrasse. The mound has a prominence of about 90 meters to the surrounding level. On a clear day you can see the landmark of the city of Bottrop from Essen main station. Like other mounds of the Ruhr area, the Tetraeder is part of an Industrial Culture.
